Water Sports in Andalucia 

The region of Andalucia is the perfect holiday location for all kinds of water sports. With over 800 kms of coastline and numerous lakes and reservoirs the opportunities are endless. The fantastic year round climate also helps, and it certainly lends itself to the spectrum of water based activities.

The coastline of the region is ideal for boating and yachting and there are many rental and hire companies within the resorts. There is world class windsurfing in Tarifa and all along the coast you can windsurf, surf, kite-surf and water-ski from beginner to expert level. The scuba diving and snorkelling is excellent all along the coast and some people are even starting to dive in the crystal clear waters of the inland lakes.

As well as sea fishing which is very popular, fishing in the many rivers, lakes, and reservoirs is becoming increasingly popular. If you enjoy water based activities but want to take your holiday inland then there are plenty of opportunities on the lakes and reservoirs for activities such as rowing, canoeing, swimming and windsurfing. Many have natural or even man-made beaches with all of the facilities you would expect to find in a coastal resort.
