Over the last 20 years the region of Andalucia has become a more and more popular destination for golfers throughout Europe due to its fantastic climate and the number of top quality courses that have been developed. There are now over 85 courses throughout   the region including basic 9-hole courses up to PGA rated courses such as Valderrama in Cadiz province.

 

Andalucia is now the most attractive region in Europe to head to for winter golf and the ideal place to get away from the damp British weather and to enjoy a round or two of golf on what are recognised to be the finest winter courses in Europe.

 

A Near MissThe most famous area for playing golf in Andalucia is the Costa del Sol which has dozens of courses and has been dubbed the Costa del Golf. Every other province in the region has many excellent courses particularly the Costa de la Luz  which covers Cadiz and Huelva and has courses to suit every standard of Golfer. Granada and Almeria provinces also offer excellent courses and the number of courses in provinces such as Seville, Cordoba and Jaen which are not traditionally know as golfing destinations are increasing all the time.

 

With Andalucia so close to the UK and so many cheap flights available the modern day golfer is now able to play all year round on some wonderful courses without having to go too far afield.
