The region of Andalucia is made for mountain biking, it has miles and miles of open space and countless Natural and National parks with flat routes and mountain climbs. Cycling is a very big sport throughout Spain and the locals take it very seriously whether they are road racing or mountain biking. At any given time throughout the region you can be overtaken by a group of lycra clad cyclists.

Mountain BikingThere are places to rent mountain bikes from throughout the region of Andalucia and they can normally be hired out at an hourly or daily rate. There some bike routes within the Natural and National parks but not many, so you are free to go wherever you want. The best way to find out this information on bike hire and routes is to contact the local tourist information office.

Whether you are a serious rider or just want to hire bicycles to tour local areas then it is possible to do so throughout the region. The quality of the bicycles you can hire varies from town to town but you should be able to hire better quality mountain bikes from the more mountainous resorts.
